Hello to all you budding climbers out there!

As the title suggests, this page tells you all our news and what we're going to be up to over the next few months.

The start of 2009 was very busy for us and it would seem that even with all we hear and read about credit-crunches and recession, people still want to climb!!

We’ve already been to lots of schools all over Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen City and Moray and have also visited Scout and Guide groups and many Youth and Community groups as well.

Our summer season is already in full flow and we’ve been to events all over Scotland including the Clermiston Gala in Edinburgh where we released thousands of balloons from the top of the wall, the Aberdeen Highland Games and the Youth Shine ’09 event at Thainstone.

We’ve also been working closely with Transition Extreme in various locations around Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire and have been doing some Instructor hours at Transition’s indoor wall as well.

At the moment we’re working towards our SPA qualification which will allow us to take groups to do outdoor climbing sessions at the sea-cliffs near Aberdeen. Climbers will be able to learn more about belaying and rope work and enjoy the thrill of climbing on real rock!

On a personal note, whenever we get some spare time we try to get out climbing ourselves and this year we’ve managed to visit some truly stunning places in which to scare ourselves silly! We’ve put some of our pictures on our Gallery page for you to look at.
